Nerf Super Soaker Hydro Cannon - Review!

Devastate opponents with the Nerf Super Soaker Hydro Cannon!

The Hydro Cannon uses an on-board pump system to pressurize its water tank. Just pump it up 10-20 times via the under-slung pump grip, then simply pull the trigger to fire a huge torrent of water!

It has 3 x in-built N-Strike tactical rails that are compatible with Nerf blaster accessories. It also comes with a special translucent blast shield attachment (which can also fit on any compatible Nerf blaster).

Its water tank capacity is 1,000ml (1 liter) and the average firing range is around 30-35ft.

This is a big water blaster, and its quite hefty especially with a full water tank... so its highly recommended for users to have strong arms too! :)

Available at Toys R Us and most major dept stores in Singapore. Retail Price: SGD$49.90.

  3. i saw it at nex...
btw wondering for Nerf Super Soaker Hydro Cannon, must i pump 10-20 time to fire the next shot or i can fire more den 2 shot with 10-20 pump.

  4. Eterndreamz,

Nope, every time you pressurize the water tank with pumps, you can only fire one shot, then you have to re-pump it up again.

  5. dude ya it one heck of a blaster, more like a bazooka, but its is so expensive! well exception of costco two of these for $40

  6. Your posts are pretty short and don't go into much detail, try making them longer next time. And for your YouTube videos you should try firing at something further away because even a weak water pistol could knock over some plastics cups.

You're not really testing the guns capability just by shooting stuff at such close range.

  7. dragon_fable_guy,

Points taken... though i have an idea too, why don't you post up your own detailed reviews and videos for us all to see too. I'm sure everyone will be keen to read your long in-depth reviews too. :)

    1. =P that's not fair. I think if you're going to review something you should go in a bit better depth. I wouldn't call this a review - nothing outlining its strengths/weaknesses how handles, how it compares in preformance to other models, or anything... more of an specc overview.

When I came here I was hoping to find something more like your detailed nerf blasters reviews... I suppose there's not much else out there though =/

  8. The Hydro Cannon's pump-action grip doesn't look very ergonomic. Is it easy to fire? And is the blast shield compatible to any NERF gun?

  9. Which of the Super Soakers would you recommend? Which is your favorite?

    ReplyDelete
  10. John Doe,

Its relatively easy to pump and fire, though the Hydro Cannon itself is quite large and bulky (especially with a full tank of water), so carrying it around would require some effort.

The blast shield can fit on any Nerf blasters with N-Strike tactical rails.

So far, the Hydro Cannon is my favourite, its got the largest water blast. :)

    1. shahrin muhahahaha,

Well, i'd describe it as similar to getting hit by a thrown water balloon... its okay for use amongst adults and teenagers, but not really advisable for use amongst very small children (it might knock them over).

    2. ok thx, and 1 more thing, will the pressure drop when i pump for like 20 times and leave it alone for like 5min and shoot it back? Is there any air leakage?

      Delete
    3. shahrin muhahahaha,

If it is working properly, there shouldn't be any significant air leakage, it should hold pressure well. I've tested pumping it up and leaving the blaster for 30 minutes, then firing it and the power is still there.

    4. ok thx man! i may consider buying 1 of these someday

    1. Anonymous,

Perhaps you could just check the online sites of the major dept stores in Australia? Maybe they can deliver the blasters purchases to you.

Sorry, i've traded away those blasters, so can't take anymore mix n' match tactical accessory photos.

They seem to be sold out at most local dept stores nowadays, i guess you'll have to really shop around to find the last remaining stock.

    1. Anonymous,

If comparing between those 2 blasters, get the Rayven.

    2. and longstrike,do you recommend it?

      Delete
    3. Anonymous,

Longstrike is more for display, the design looks nice but the internal reverse plunger system is the same as the Recon and Raider, so the range performance is very limited, even after modding.

Get the newer Elite Series blasters, they use the direct plunger system which is more efficient and get longer ranges.

  20. the sound of the motor of rayven is big?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Anonymous,

Yes, the Rayven is a motorized flywheel blaster, so it has the buzzing noise when operating.

  21. man im going to get mega centurion but i cant do that cuz im brazilian :(

    ReplyDelete
  22. centurion sucks, ranges are too inconsistant , some hit far some less than 5 ft , WTH! whats more the price of it is bullocks. i rather go buy a rapid strike, which is auto and more M16 like
