Dominate water battles with the Nerf Super Soaker Tornado Strike!
The Tornado Strike uses a direct pump-to-fire system, it has no trigger. When users pump it, the barrel automatically rotates rapidly and fires dual spiral/helix shaped streams of water, hence creating a "tornado" firing effect.
This blaster uses the Super Soaker Water Clip system which have a water tank capacity of 300ml. Clips can be loaded and unloaded quickly by pushing the clip release button on the blaster.
The water clips also have a flexible plastic clip on their side which allow them to be attached to belts or straps.
The in-built N-Strike tactical rail and shoulder stock attachment point are compatible with Nerf blaster accessories and shoulder stocks. It comes packaged with an adjustable shoulder stock that can also fit on compatible N-Strike Nerf blasters.
The Tornado Strike's modular "assault blaster" style design offers various customization setups. Its average firing range is around 15-20ft.

How comfortably do the water clips fit in the N-Strike Bandolier Strap?
ReplyDeletenerfboyz.com,
ReplyDeleteThe water clips are too large and cannot fit into the N-Strike Bandolier strap elastic loops.
They could be hooked on the strap (though rather loosely) via the flexible plastic clip on their sides though.
can this blaster be couplered to fire darts?
ReplyDeleteHazard,
ReplyDeletePossible... but it originally uses a simple pump-to-fire system and doesn't have a trigger, so it'll require additional components and parts transplanted into it to convert to fire foam darts.
In short, it'll basically just be a shell for conversion purposes. :)
ok,so...i'm just suppose to link a trigger to its firing pin right?
ReplyDelete@hazzard:
ReplyDeleteThe simplest way to mod this blaster to fire darts is this: Disassemble the blaster. remove and disassemble the orange rotating barrel. All of the major components of the water delivery system are in smaller component parts. they are mostly held together by o-rings. The dual water nozzle will pull apart easily. Replace that with a piece of 1/2 inch CPVC of your desired length. Some Dremel work may be needed. Put the blaster back together.
It fires streamliners about 15 feet. If you pump it really hard, the darts spiral out of control and only about 5 feet.
Hazard,
ReplyDeleteThere is no firing pin in the Tornado Strike.
too bad then, btw will the shotblast be released to S'pore too?
ReplyDeleteHazard,
ReplyDeleteSo far, no news on the Shot Blast availability in Singapore.
(when) is this coming out in Canada?
ReplyDeleteThis and only this has arrived yesterday in Brunei. Wish I was in Singapore....
ReplyDeleteWould you recommend buying this?
ReplyDeletePan Dan,
ReplyDeleteSure, its got a nice design.
its so cute but its like the size of a recon! it makes every thing else look like a leaky hose with that blast... except the hydro cannon. any one know how much it is?
ReplyDeletei have the super soaker i got it yesterday probably the best nerf so far
ReplyDeletealso who would win in coolness
maverick or tornado super soaker
Is tornado strike better or scatter blast?
ReplyDeleteWould be getting a super soaker soon, which one do you prefer?
ReplyDeleteBunnies02,
ReplyDeleteThe Tornado Strike would be better, 'cos it uses the water clip refill system... and the design looks cool too. :)
Er..... do you know where to get a nerf firefly rev-8 in singapore?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Bunnies02,
ReplyDeleteThe Nerf Firefly is not available in Singapore. You'll have to purchase or order it from overseas or online.
Of all the new edition super soaker, which one do you think is best?
ReplyDeleteshould i get this or the scatter blast or the thunderstorm( but i feel it sucks)i'm trying to decide which one to get.
ReplyDeleteBunnies02,
ReplyDeleteI'd say the Hydro Cannon... its the biggest blaster in the latest model range with the largest water volume output per shot, hence it's popularity.
Joseph Khaw,
ReplyDeleteI guess you should go for the Scatter Blast then. :)
If i Enter into a pool with my tornado strike
ReplyDeleteshe dosent gonna work anymore????
Lucas,
ReplyDeleteSo far, users have tested the battery and motor compartment to be waterproof up to 2+ meters depth in swimming pools, so you could submerge it and it should still work.
oh Thanks that gonna be wonderfull
ReplyDelete2 things.
ReplyDelete#1: Would it be available during fall?
#2: If I get it, should I get more clips. If so, how many?
c.step89,
ReplyDeleteIt's already available in stores since early 2011, you'll just have to shop at dept stores to find them.
I guess you could just get as many clips as you can carry around comfortably. :)
is this better or is the thunderstorm better?
ReplyDeletemuzaffarmuhar,
ReplyDeleteImho, the Thunderstorm is full-auto, so it has an advantage in Super Soaker games.
does this water gun have a battry compartment ?
ReplyDeletebryan,
ReplyDeleteNope, the Tornado Strike does not require batteries to operate.
then what was ^ lucas talking about ?
ReplyDeletecan the shoulder stock of tornado strike use on alpha trooper?
ReplyDeletebryan,
ReplyDeleteIt was a mistake on my part, i thought he was referring to the Thunderstorm:
http://sgsupersoaker.blogspot.com/2011/02/nerf-super-soaker-thunderstorm-review.html
~Haniff Hardy~,
ReplyDeleteYes, the shoulder stocks are all interchangeable with N-Strike blasters.
o ok thx
ReplyDeletei heard of the new shot blast version with the scope. which one is better shotblast or this tornado strike
ReplyDeletei just got my tornado strike and it is awesome its easy to reload and its big but when water is in the clip its still light i would definitely use it in a super soaker war
ReplyDeletewhich is better tornado strike or scatter blast?
ReplyDelete~Maxhardy~,
DeleteTornado Strike is better, 'cos it can use the water clips.
Hey Sgnerf,
ReplyDeleteI bought the white Shot-Blast with the same kind of stock as the tornado strike. It's compatible with ALL N-strike blasters right?
I tried putting it on my alpha trooper and it was an extremely tight fit. Now it's stuck. I cannot get it out.
I've tried everything; pulling it out, prying it, unscrewing the blaster, boiling water, but nothing works.
I'm so upset how it turned out, please do you have any suggestions or advice?
Anonymous,
DeleteI guess it depends on production batch, i have actually experienced one set fitting nicely, while another set was too tight... so its most likely a production variation.
Looks like the only way to get the stuck set out is just to really apply more strength to pull it off, and do remember to press the lock catch to disengage the shoulder stock lock at the same time.
I've tried that, now the black stock adapter thing at the rear of the alpha trooper is becoming loose.
DeleteI don't think applying more force is going to solve my problem.
Is there any way of disasembling the stock?
Anonymous,
DeleteWell, the shoulder stock's connection part is one single molded piece of plastic, so if its really stuck then the only other way is to cut it open with a Dremel tool or hand saw.
For such parts variation that i've experienced so far, even if its a tight fit, i can just apply some extra force to pull it off.
I guess you probably got a very odd set, so it looks like you'll have to just cut it open.
I dont think im prepared to cut it off.
DeleteThanks anyways :)
Will it still be available by April?
ReplyDeleteIs it still available?
ReplyDeletei just brought this nerf super soaker tornado at tampines mall bhg . It cost only $26.90 . And also it only left one more box only.
Deletevery nice site. I know it's a very long shot since it's almost 2014, but is there anyway I can still get the tornado strike? it's sold out everywhere, but surely somewhere must have sia. thanks if anyone can still see this.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous,
DeleteLooks like they are all sold out in stores... but there are many newer models that have been released since, so you can check them out instead.
If you want this particular model, then maybe check on eBay or at Nerf forums to find existing owners who may have spare or used ones for sale.
